Weekly Message from Head of School 2023/3/24-2024/3/29

2024-03-29

Dear Keystonians,

Happy Friday! Today the Secondary School celebrated the Cultural Mosaic. This annual tradition gives our students a chance to experience the cultures of the world in one exciting afternoon event—as always, it was beautiful. I love how much emphasis Keystone puts on student leadership. Our traditions are annual, but they are led each year by a new set of brilliant students who bring their own flair to the experience, making it better and better with each passing year.

Tomorrow, our boarding students will experience “China Day” as part of their campus weekend experience. They will have a wide range of activities to choose from that deepen their connections to culture, history and the arts.  Also, on Sunday we will have charity sale to which we invite all our families- I hope to see you on campus (and keep your fingers crossed for lovely weather!).

I also had the chance this week to see the rehearsal process for our Primary School production of Madagascar—it was vibrant, hilarious, and beautiful—I can’t wait for you all to have the chance to see these young performers in the weeks to come on the big stage of the Performing Arts Center.

Have you been reflecting on technology use in your home this week since my last letter? I heard from many of you that you have been. That’s good!  Stay connected to each other—it is our greatest source of learning, strength and joy.

Yours truly,

Emily
